How persistent are you? To reach any goal you must be persistent. I have always been a very persistent person and I can tell you, persistence DOES pay off. It is not the smartest, the most educated or the most athletic who wins… it is the person with the most drive, heart and persistence who succeeds at daily life. The points noted here are all things I do on a daily basis. To be persistent means you need to develop daily practices to gain and keep momentum. I think all of this starts from having structure to your day. How do you start your day? Do you make your bed as soon as you wake up? Do you have a set time everyday to exercise? Do you plan your healthy eating plan every Sunday for the week, so you don’t get off track? Do you write out your work goals every Friday or Sunday evening for the work week? When a client tells you NO, do you give up and crawl up in a ball, or do you write down in your calendar when you will call that person again? The word NO mostly means, not right now, but maybe later. To be successful in your personal and professional life, you have to be persistent at getting better and doing better all the time. Things may not always happen on your timeline, but they will happen eventually! |
Quote of the Day “Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan Press On! has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race” – Quote by Calvin Coolidge |
